PCOS includes at least three distinct subtypes. Insulin-resistant PCOS, the most common, is driven by elevated insulin stimulating androgen production in the ovaries. Adrenal PCOS involves elevated DHEAS from the adrenal glands. Inflammatory PCOS is driven by systemic low-grade inflammation. Our Naturopaths distinguish between these subtypes using DUTCH testing and fasting insulin assessment before recommending any natural treatment.
Both hypothyroid and hyperthyroid presentations benefit from naturopathic assessment that goes beyond TSH alone. Our Naturopaths review the full thyroid panel including Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3 and thyroid antibodies, and investigate nutritional drivers including selenium, iodine, zinc and iron. They work alongside your GP or endocrinologist at all times.
Most women entering perimenopause experience hormonal volatility as progesterone falls first and oestrogen fluctuates unpredictably. Standard blood panels frequently return results within the reference range during perimenopause even when symptoms are severe. Our Naturopaths assess where each patient is in this transition using DUTCH testing and build a Wellness Plan around the specific hormonal pattern.
The three to six months before conception are the most clinically significant window in preconception care. Egg quality, nutrient stores, thyroid function and hormonal timing can all be meaningfully improved through natural treatment during this window. Our Naturopaths support women trying to conceive naturally and those undergoing IVF, working alongside fertility specialists.
Endometriosis affects an estimated one in nine Australian women. Naturopathic natural treatment addresses oestrogen clearance via the liver and gut, systemic inflammation, immune dysregulation and prostaglandin-driven pain. Our Naturopaths work alongside gynaecologists to provide complementary support.
