Brisbane Livewell Clinic provides a wide range of natural health services to support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Below is a list of the services we provide at our Wavell Heights Clinic and our Cannon Hill Clinic.

A2. How do I know which service is right for me?

If you’re unsure where to begin, but you know your health isn’t great, booking an initial Naturopathy consultation is a good starting point. Your Naturopath can recommend the most suitable services and refer you to other practitioners as needed.

A3. Where are Brisbane Livewell Clinic’s locations?

Brisbane Livewell Clinic operates from two locations: Wavell Heights and Cannon Hill. Both clinics are situated in convenient inner-north and inner-east suburbs of Brisbane.

A4. Is there a difference between your two Clinic locations?

Both Clinics offer the same high-quality services, but Practitioner availability differs by location. Our website lists which practitioners are available at each Clinic.

A5. Do your Clinics have free parking available?

Free on-site parking is available at both Wavell Heights and Cannon Hill locations. There is also accessible free street parking nearby both of our Brisbane Livewell Clinic locations for patients attending their appointments.

A6. How do I make an appointment?

Appointments at Brisbane Livewell Clinic can be booked online or by calling the clinic directly. Our Reception Team can also help you choose a practitioner and service suited to your health needs.

A7. What are your opening hours?

Clinic hours vary by practitioner, but appointments are generally available Monday to Friday between 8am and 9pm and Saturday between 9am and 4pm. Early morning and evening sessions are available at both Clinics to suit different schedules.

A8. Are telehealth or videoconference consultations available?

Brisbane Livewell Clinic offers videoconference consultations for a number of our services, including Naturopathy and Nutrition, Dietetics, Counselling, and Hypnotherapy services. This allows patients to continue care from home or other locations across Australia. We don’t technically offer “telehealth” appointments, as these are used for medical purposes, but our videoconferencing has the same effect.

B. Services Generally

B1. Are your services suitable for children or teenagers?

Some practitioners at Brisbane Livewell Clinic work with children and teenagers, particularly for gut health, immune support and anxiety. Speak to our team to find the right practitioner for your child.

B2. What conditions do people commonly come to the clinic for?

Patients often seek help for thyroid imbalances, fatigue, digestive symptoms, hormonal changes, perimenopause, stress, food intolerances, and skin health. We also see patients for general wellbeing and preventative care

B3. Can I claim a private health insurance rebate for my service?

It’s important to check with your insurance provider to ensure your Allied Health Service or Natural Therapy Service is covered under your health insurance policy, so that you know going into your consultation with us.

We unfortunately do not have all the necessary information about your own Health Insurer and your Policy, so we can only help you with general enquiries. You will need to call your Health Insurance Provider for more specific enquiries about your own policy and whether you are eligible for a particular healthcare service we offer.

C. Appointments

C1. How often should I return for follow-up sessions?

Follow-up timing depends on your Wellness Plan and goals. Most patients are reviewed every 2–4 weeks during active phases and then shift to maintenance care.

C2. How do I prepare for my first appointment?

To prepare for your first appointment, bring any recent test results and a list of current medications or supplements. Your practitioner will conduct a detailed health history and begin developing your personalised Wellness Plan.

C3. How long is a standard appointment?

Initial appointments are typically 60 minutes, while follow-up appointments are often 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Specific durations depend on the service and your individual needs. For example, our Osteopathy appointments are 45 minutes for an Initial Osteopathy Appointment and 30 minutes for a Subsequent Appointment.

C4. Do you offer gift vouchers?

Gift vouchers are available for all services and can be purchased online or at reception. They make a thoughtful option for birthdays, milestones or self-care gifts. 

D. Seeing a Naturopath

D1. What is Naturopathy and What is a Naturopath?

Naturopathy is a holistic healthcare system that uses natural therapies like herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to support the body’s ability to heal itself. A Naturopath is a trained professional who has studied at university to receive a Naturopathy degree, and who practices to help support their patients to improve their health and wellbeing.

D2. How can a Naturopath help with digestive health?

Naturopaths address digestive issues by recommending dietary adjustments, herbal remedies, and lifestyle changes that treat conditions such as IBS, bloating, and food intolerances.

D3. Are Naturopathic treatments safe?

Naturopathic treatments are safe and based on natural therapies that support the body’s healing processes. Treatments are personalised to each individual, ensuring they are both effective and safe.

D4. Can Naturopathy help with mental health issues?

Naturopathy can support mental health by addressing underlying issues such as nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances, and chronic stress, which can contribute to anxiety and depression.

D5. What should I expect during my first consultation?

During the initial consultation, the Naturopath will take a detailed health history and may recommend diagnostic tests to uncover any underlying health issues.

D6. Are practitioner-grade supplements and liquid herbs available on-site?

Practitioner-grade supplements and liquid herbs are available for purchase on site following a consultation. These are selected to suit your individual Wellness Plan and support your ongoing progress. If we don’t have the specific products your Practitioner recommends, we will order them for you.

D7. Can Naturopathy help with hormonal imbalances?

Naturopaths use natural remedies to balance hormones and manage conditions such as PCOS, menopause, and thyroid disorders.

D8. How can Naturopathy assist with chronic fatigue?

Naturopaths work to identify and treat the root causes of chronic fatigue, such as nutrient deficiencies and stress, through natural therapies that restore energy and vitality.

D9. Is Naturopathy covered by health insurance?

In Australia, Naturopathy services are generally not covered by private health insurance, but many patients find the long-term health benefits to be worth the investment.

D10. Can you help with thyroid, hormone or gut-related health concerns?

Brisbane Livewell Clinic supports a wide range of health issues including thyroid disorders, perimenopause, hormonal changes, IBS, and bloating. These concerns are commonly addressed using Naturopathy, Nutrition, Massage and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

D11. What’s the difference between Naturopathy and Nutrition?

Naturopathy combines herbal medicine, nutritional planning and lifestyle modification, while Nutrition focuses specifically on dietary interventions. Both services are available at our Clinics and may be used together. Some of our Practitioners are both Naturopaths and Clinical Nutritionists.

D12. Can I get help with interpreting my pathology or test results?

Practitioners at Brisbane Livewell Clinic – particularly our Naturopaths – can help interpret your existing test results and recommend additional testing if needed. This is usually discussed during your first appointment.

E. Testing and Functional Medicine

E1. What types of testing are available?

Functional testing is available for gut health, hormones, thyroid function, food intolerances, parasites, and more. Your practitioner will recommend specific tests based on your symptoms and health goals.

F. Massage

F1. What kinds of Massage are offered at the Clinic?

Brisbane Livewell Clinic offers a range of massage options, including Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Indian Head Massage, Remedial Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Relaxation Massage. These services are delivered by experienced therapists at both Wavell Heights and Cannon Hill.

Our team includes qualified Naturopaths, Nutritionists, Massage Therapists, Dietitians, Acupuncturists, Kinesiologists, Counsellors, Clinical Hypnotherapists and Hypnotherapists. Practitioners are registered, experienced and focused on delivering personalised care.

G2. Can I request a specific practitioner?

You can request a specific practitioner when booking your appointment. If you’re unsure who to see, our reception team can help you choose based on your symptoms and goals.

G3. Can I see more than one practitioner at the Clinic?

You can see multiple practitioners at Brisbane Livewell Clinic as part of your care. Our team often collaborates to provide a cohesive and multi-disciplinary approach.

G4. Are your practitioners qualified and registered?

All Brisbane Livewell Clinic practitioners hold relevant qualifications and industry registration in their modality. Each is experienced in working with a variety of patients and tailoring care to their individual health needs.

H1. Do you offer support for mental and emotional health?

Support for mental and emotional wellbeing is available through Counselling, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Mindset Therapy, Kinesiology and holistic Naturopathic care. We work with patients experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm and low motivation every day.
