Almond Kheer

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 pistachio nuts chopped
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg


  • Add all the ingredients to a large saucepan. Whisk nicely so they incorporate perfectly.
  • Cook everything in medium heat till they come to a boil. Then low down the heat and cook for another 5 minutes. When the mixture comes to a thick pouring consistency turn off the heat. Don’t forget to stir the Kheer mix continuously throughout the cooking process. Otherwise, it will burn at the bottom.
  • You can enjoy the almond kheer both warm and cold. If you want to have cold Kheer then place it in the freezer for 2 hours.
  • Garnish with chopped pistachio. Serve.
