Meet Glenn Strutt

Osteopath at Brisbane Livewell Clinic

Glenn’s passion for helping others began during his competitive swimming years, where he discovered the importance of a holistic approach to health, nutrition, and movement for performance and recovery. This led him to pursue a career in osteopathy, blending evidence-based practice with individual patient needs as our Osteopath Brisbane at Brisbane Livewell Clinic (Cannon Hill).

Glenn’s sporting journey evolved from swimming to triathlon, where he has competed at the Ironman and 70.3 World Championships, earning multiple podiums across Australia and recently being invited to professional-level racing. His lived experience provides unique insight into the demands of endurance sports, especially for runners and multisport athletes, and he is passionate about helping athletes stay injury-free while continuing to train, perform, and enjoy their sport.

Whether you’re an elite athlete, weekend warrior, or simply want to move without pain, Glenn’s goal is to help you build a stronger, more confident body.

“Believe in yourself more than you doubt yourself.”

“We are far more capable than we give ourselves credit for.”

Nurturing Wellness, Empowering You

In Glenn's Experience...

As an experienced Osteopath with training in dry needling, rehabilitation, and ergonomics, Glenn Strutt integrates various Osteopathic approaches to support his patients in achieving optimal physical and health outcomes.

Glenn's Approach

Glenn emphasises patient empowerment during his sessions, addressing all contributing factors rather than just problematic tissues. He combines manual therapy with active rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies, prioritising patient education and long-term outcomes.

“I encourage movement, not rest. Movement promotes blood flow, and with it, oxygen and nutrients that allow healing to occur. Most injuries result from excessive load, so we either reduce the load or raise the body’s capacity to handle it. That’s where strength and structure come in.” Dr Glenn Strutt, Osteopath at Brisbane Livewell Clinic (Cannon Hill)

Having transitioned from swimming into triathlon, Glenn has competed at both the Ironman and 70.3 World Championships, earned multiple podiums across Australia, and was recently invited to professional-level racing.

His lived experience as an elite athlete gives him a unique perspective on injury prevention, training loads, and the mental and physical resilience required for performance.

More about Dr Glenn Strutt

Dr Glenn Strutt is a registered Osteopath with a passion for empowering patients through movement, education, and evidence-based care. His journey into healthcare began during his years as a competitive swimmer, where he developed an early appreciation for the holistic interplay between health, nutrition, and performance. This foundation ultimately led him to pursue Osteopathy, drawn by its ability to blend hands-on treatment with active rehabilitation and long-term health strategies.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine from Victoria University. He has additional training in dry needling, rehabilitation, and ergonomics, and integrates a broad range of osteopathic techniques into his care. These include soft tissue massage, joint articulation, muscle energy technique, HVLA manipulation, and dry needling.

Rather than just treating symptoms, Glenn looks at the whole picture, identifying the contributing factors that lead to injury or dysfunction. His Wellness Plans are guided by the philosophy that the best outcomes happen when patients are active participants in their own recovery. He combines manual therapy with strength-based rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies, with a strong emphasis on patient education and supporting long-term outcomes.
