We understand that everyone has different nutritional needs and preferences, however the 12 day detox is designed to be vegan as excessive animal flesh hinders the detoxification process in your body. We have chosen plant based proteins (avocado, spinach, kale), nuts (e.g almonds/almond milk, walnuts, pistachios), seeds (e.g chia seeds) and legumes (e.g lentils, kidney beans) as well as quinoa. Studies have shown a high fibre diet as mentioned, reduce inflammation in the body, reducing risk of illness.
If you choose to eat meat after the detox, do not consume more than 1 serving per day maximum, ensure you combine your meat portion with loads of water-rich foods such as salad or steamed vegetables and try to maintain a cleansing diet for the remainder of the day.
