What is the effect of the toxicity if your body is not detoxified?
Toxic overload results in an imbalance in gut flora (over 400 species!). This microbial “ dysbiosis” may result in the creation of microbial toxins such as endotoxin---the lipopolysaccharide cell walls of dead bacteria that constitute one of the most inflammatory substances known. It also results in the overgrowth of bacterial, parasite and fungus such as candidiasis. All these contribute to the condition known as “ leaky Gut Syndrome” which can lead to very serious immunological diseases and tissue degenerative diseases.
When your body is healthy, food is broken down by your digestive processes into its nutritional components, which are distributed around your body for the maintenance and sustenance of living tissues. But if the metabolic processes of digestion are impaired, intact food macromolecules can then trigger activation of the Gut associated Lymphatic Tissue ( GLT ) which constitutes 70% of your immune system. Metabolized food substances can also contribute to toxic accumulation in your gut, which may be absorbed and distributed throughout the body in a process known as “autointoxication”.
Understanding the role of your liver and the importance of liver detoxification:
The liver processes one and a half to two liters of blood every minute. It performs many vital function:
It is the body’s major site of synthesis and regulation for the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates:
It stores glycogen, vitamins ,B12, D, E and K, and minerals iron ( as ferritin ) and copper;
It detoxifies and processes for excretion all substances in circulation in the blood. This includes not only “ pollutant “ chemicals absorbed from the environment, but also infective agents, food substances, drugs and natural medicines, endogenous wastes and hormones.
The liver removes toxins by modifying them chemically to make them less toxic and more water soluble for excretion via kidney or bile. This chemical modification is achieved in two stages which we call “ Phase I Detox “ and “ Phase II Detox “.
Phase I reaction are mediated by something called P450 cytochrome enzyme chain, and require high levels of available protein, B2, B3, B6 folate, B12 flavonoids, vitamin C and iron to function effectively. The enzymes alter the toxins, making them more reactive in preparation for the next step called conjugation or Phase II. A common indicator or toxic exposure is a significant increase in Phase I activity, often overwhelming the capacity of Phase II to clear the resultant metabolites.
Phase II ‘conjugation’ reaction add other molecules to the phase I metabolites to inactivate them and make them easier to excrete. Such processes involve the addition of chemical entities such as sulphate or methyl groups, glucuronic acid, glutathione, or amino acids like glycine of taurine. Because of its complexity, if detoxification pathway is blocked, it is Phase II that tends to suffer the most. The high level of toxins we are exposed in modern day to day life increases Phase I activity so much that it produces high level of reactive metabolites. The highly oxidative nature of these metabolites causes extensive damage to hepatocyte membranes, leading to inflammatory responses ( hepatitis ), failure of bile production and over time, fatty liver and liver failure ( cirrhosis ).
Lots of nutrients such as Vitamin B group, methionine, glutamine, selenium and so on are necessary for Phase II support. Foods such as cabbage, broccoli, watercress, ginger, grape seed, green tea are very good source of Phase II support. |

The complex nature of your metabolic requirement requires an extremely personalized program specifically designed to suit your individual need. There is no one single detox program that suits everybody. The level of toxicity, your metabolic constitution, the proficiency of your enzyme activity, the status of your bowel and liver all have to be taken into consideration for the master plan of your detoxification. “One size fits all” approach can not ensure effective therapeutic detoxification result.
Clinical indicators of failure of the liver’s detoxification mechanisms are symptoms of “hyper reactivity” where you react adversely to normally innocuous remedies, herbs and nutrients, or just seems to react to everything from food, and perfume to dust and even air. Other indicators are regular constipation, bad breath, bad skin, dandruff, bloating, can’t tolerate alcohol, regular migrant, menstrual pain, regular infection, weight gain. Healing crisis is also an indicator of detoxification overload---when you are trying to go too fast for your metabolic constitution.
How do you determine the level of my bowel and liver toxicity?
Apart from a comprehensive Health Screening test, we utilize a dark field microscopy to study the function of your live blood ----Hemaview analysis (refer to the Lab Test section for detail explanation). The result of the hemaview analysis will further be confirmed by urinary indicant test. Both of these tests will clearly reveal the level of toxins in your body, bowel and liver function and your antioxidant activity. Bio Impedance analysis (BIA) is also performed to determine your toxic marker, aging marker, your cellular health and your anabolic/catabolic state. All these three tests will provide us with the scientific confirmation of your heath and disease profile. This lays the foundation of your treatment strategy. All these tests only cost $170. Ii is money well spent because it potentially saves you thousands of dollars by eliminating the possibilities of mistreatment.
How long will it take and how much will the whole detox program cost?
It depends on the level of your bowel toxicity. The bowel detox can take as short as 6 weeks if the presence of micros is limited, but it can also take as long as 6 month if the infestation is severe. Giardia, candidiasis or cryptosporidium are harder to eliminate. We normally repeat the process twice to three times to ensure the complete removal of any hatched hidden eggs or cysts. The gut repair and reinoculation will take about one month using some powerful gut repair agent according to your individual need.
Similar situation applies to liver detox and regeneration process. A relatively good functioning liver will only take one month to complete the process while a diseased or a badly functioning liver can take up to 4 month. The key is Not to leave it too late. The earlier you get on to the bowel and liver detox, the easier the job, the less the cost.
Average cost for the entire program will be between $7 to $10 a day, roughly the cost of a cup of coffee and a muffin or a chicken sandwich.
What kind of result should I expect after the detox?
Feeling of wellness, clarification of your mind, lightness of your body, regularity of your bowel, absence of bloating or any digestive discomfort, restoration of your vitality, desire to exercise, desire for sexual fulfillment, recovery of appetite for only good wholesome food, internal state of joy and happiness, experience of love and peace in your heart just to name a few.
Should I expect any side effects or reactions?
Possibly. You may have transient symptoms as the body mobilize and clean out the toxins. These usually take the form of temporary headache, thirst, fatigue and diarrhea, normally a few days of starting the program, but the symptoms will go away 24 to 48 hours if you continue with the program. This so called “healing crisis" does affect people who are toxin overload. The detox approaches we use are normally very gentle. It is not a job you should rush through, but it is a job you should do well no matter how long it take. All the efforts will be so worthy when you at the end reaping the reward.
Where do I go once the detox is completed?
You should choose to go on the Wellness program to maintain your new-found health and vitality. A wellness program will be designed for you according to the lab findings of your new Hemaview and Indicant test. A very easy and delicious diet plan will be suggested to you. We encourage you to meet up with your practitioner once every 6 to 8 weeks to adjust your supplement and nutritional program and review your cell health while you are on the Wellness program. This program will give you the complete nutrition, diet, exercise, mental and emotional heath guideline. It is designed to keep you at the path of optimal heath and wellness and enjoy the happy life that you deserve.
